RECEIVING PROCEDURES

After sharing Christ's peace you will move toward your designated spot as indicated on the map. Father Steve will distribute wine cups and the bread plates to the designated assignee. You will proceed to your position and face the altar. Please remember to line yourself according to your station. (See map)

When you look at your map you will notice that all six wine ministers are together towards the center. The two wine ministers standing on the West Side of the Altar are Wine Ministers to the Back and West Positions. The two Bread Ministers standing on the West Side are the Bread Ministers for the Back and the West positions.

The remaining four wine ministers will be standing on the East side of the Altar along with two Bread Ministers. These positions are as follows. We will line up starting from the Eastside of the Ambo. Center Bread, East Bread, East Wine, Center Wine, Center Wine, and Back Wine.

Father Steve will begin to distribute Bread from the West side of the Altar. He will begin with the musician and cantor and continue until all have received Bread. Once everyone has received Bread Father will begin to distribute the wine glasses. He will bring two wine glasses to the West side of the Altar (Wine Ministers for the Back and the West side). You will receive and then turn to face the congregation. At that time the remaining ministers and musicians standing on the West side will come to you and receive Wine. Once you have received wine the music ministers will go to their station and the two remaining ministers will wait there facing the altar and Father will bring you your plate.

On the East side Father will bring two wine cups to the wine ministers near the center, and continue to bring the last two cups down to the other wine ministers. Once Father has brought the first two cups down, the bread minister, that are standing on the West side will proceed to the wine minister to receive. Once you, as a Bread Minister, have received, return to where you were standing and Father will bring you your plate.

If you are East or West, and are the first one finished, you will join the Center Team and help with communion. The wine minister will take the wine tray and their cup to the Server's (Credence) table. Upon finishing your station, you will put your bread plate on the table. Father will take care of putting all bread into the ciborium. The wine minister will take their cup to the Credence Table and put it on the tray. The last wine minister (there will be six cups on the tray) will take the tray to the back sacristy. Father Steve will take any left over Eucharist back to the Tabernacle.
